I am joining Sally Russick's Focusing on Life photo blog challenge - she will send a prompt every week and then we have the whole week to take a picture.  Everyone participating will post their links on her blog, The Studio Sublime.  As is sooooo usual for me, I joined late and am now posting a little late.  Time management and it's management of me is one of my New Years resolutions (and when I figure out how to put it all into words you know I will be posting it here :-))

As I was thinking to myself last night, "Man, I should go get my camera and figure something out for this post" I started to play with my phone camera.  I was trying to take a partial self portrait, positioning it so that I would be (to me) the most attractive, when I saw my sweet boy in the background.  The kids and I were doing one of our favorite, end-of-day activities last night - chillin'.  This requires blankets, PJs, sometimes a fire, and a favorite show on TV (in this case, Tanked).  The only one missing was my honey, but he was winging his way home via red-eye from the west coast, and is now safely home.

  1. Great photos! I love that you chose to focus on relaxing with the kids in front of a fire, all snugled on the couch. Now that is the life!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing more photos in the coming weeks!!

  5. My vote goes with the second photo too, only my feet are only truely comfortable when they are totally bare, even in the middle of winter in the house!

  18. What a cozy sceen. I've never had a dog myself but this one sure reminds me of my cats who swap turns snuggling as soon as they see me sit down.
