I am a little late posting this week because I decided to go to the Meet and Greet at ArtBliss last night.  I was late to that also by the time the Friday night kid activities were complete and kind of doubted the intelligence of driving across town to hang out for a mere hour but IT WAS SO WORTH IT.  I love what I do in the Air Force and I love the people I get to work with but last night I felt like I was with my own tribe (to quote the lovely Erin Siegel).  I got to chat with Erin and her mother in law as well as  Erin Prais-Hintz, Sandi Volpe, Jenny Davies-Reazor, the host of this year long picture adventure Sally Russik, Laura Twiford and I am sure there are others I am forgetting.  It was wonderful to see Jeannette and Cindy, the hosts of ArtBliss, and congratulate them on the success of the retreat and of course, Cindy's awesome new book!  Am I gushing? Probably. Okay, let's get to the pictures...

This week Sally challenged us to show our best shots.  I have two of my kids (naturally) that I want to show, but had a few minutes Thursday night to take some macros of the first set of beads I have made in my new space.  What's nice is that I have the counter space now to leave my lights up so maybe there will be less bathroom counter photos of my creations in the future :-).  I lucked out and one came out really well, with only minor tweaking in Aperture:

Here's the whole set:

And here are the two of Emma and Michael, my current favorites, both from last Sunday:
