This week Sally asked us to focus on color up close and macro.  It's a great prompt for my favorite time of year - fall.  And I've been able to enjoy it because most every day Layla and I have been walking Michael part way to school and then continuing our walk through the neighborhood.  It's a win-win for me - time with my #1 boy and exercise for us older girls.  Yesterday I passed by this pop of color, and took a couple iPhone shots while Layla sniffed around and underneath. I love that you can see the fuzzy edge of the leaf!

  1. So seasonal! I was in a local craft store this week and noticed all the holiday decorations and your photo reminds me of the Christmas berries. Just lovely.

  4. Beautiful berries, and I do see the fuzzies. Is this a holly bush?

  5. Lovely berries, such a great pop of color! Our berries are not doing well this year, because we are so dry! And what ones there are have been gobbled by the birds.
