In January we are focusing on minimalism, and this week Sally asked us to look for a silhouette. (It just took me five minutes to figure out how to spell silhouette :-)).
I know I always say this, but it's been busier than usual for us lately - Michael is in a show, Beauty and the Beast Jr, which opens next weekend so there is rehearsal every day until then (if you live near Alexandria VA get tickets here); Emma is at a weekend youth retreat but didn't want to miss her basketball game, so Greg is making 2 round trips to Baltimore to make that happen; there is a Scout merit badge pow wow this morning; and I had the bright idea that we should work in a trumpet lesson, because Michael won't be able to meet with his teacher during the show weekends. And that is just today.
So dreamy, arty silhouette pictures were not going to happen. But the dreary rain along my trip home from work last night did make for an interesting shot (God bless iPhone cameras :-))
And here is proof I was being car and camera safe, snapping only while safely stopped at a light:

I love the colours in your photos - the blues and golds look great together
ReplyDeleteA cool photo. I can't believe all the wonderful color in it.
ReplyDeleteSome times I'm glad it's just the cats that need to be taken for rides.. and since they all hate the car... no problem. We have rain today too and my car has finally emerged from under the ice storm piles. Interesting pictures through the dash!
ReplyDeleteReally cool photos. The colors are amazing and the rain gives it another dimension.
ReplyDeleteI love that first photo. So full of personality and the rain really makes it sing.
ReplyDeleteMan, that rain pic is super cool! Glad you're not photo-snappin' and driving! LOL!! :-) Hope you get a chance to breathe here in the next few weeks - sounds like whirlwind of activities galore at your house!
ReplyDeleteBoth of you photos are great! The first one with the rain from you side window is very cool. Taking photos from unusual angles can produce some of the best shots.
ReplyDeleteI love the color and texture of the rain pic, but the steering wheel pic makes the sky and and lights really pop! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteVery cool photos! Sounds like you're going to busy for a while!
ReplyDeleteSuper photos, the first one is very atmospheric.
