Another super quick post - we are in State College PA on the campus of Penn State. My brother graduated from here is 1993, and considers it a home of sorts, so he chose to return here for his Naval retirement ceremony. It has been so wonderful to be here - lots of family came in from near and far - lots of stories and memories - and fun to walk everywhere.
See how others beat cabin fever here:
I love the sidewalk photo! What a cool place for a retirement ceremony.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the fence and the trees draw your eye in on the top photo. There is nothing quite like a family gathering to warm ones heart when the weather is cold.
ReplyDeleteGreat night time photo of the sidewalk. With the lights in the background, the sidewalk seems to go on forever. And of course the one with the children in their bright coats is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos Elisabeth. It sounds like you had a fun week.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Elizabeth! I can just imagine myself walking along that sidewalk bundled up in a warm coat.. gazing up at the stars.... lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos - love the sidewalk one especially! The kiddos look cute and happy! Glad you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteBrrrrr. So many cold places - your photo certainly lets it's viewer feel that cold. The kids look cute on the Nittney Lion
ReplyDeleteThe empty sidewalk at night, lit only by the street lamps...love the photo!
ReplyDeleteI love the night time photo - the snow looks so pretty against the darkness.
ReplyDeleteA great way to enjoy winter. I love the first photo with the dark shadows against the snow.
ReplyDeleteGreat set of winter photos. You are not letting the cold stop you.
ReplyDeleteI think it feels colder out when it's cold with no snow than when it's cold with snow... I like the first picture the best too!
ReplyDeletePretty pictures!!! And isn't it refreshing to take a brisk walk!!!!???
