I'm afraid this will be a short post because we are, well, traveling this weekend :-) Erin challenged us to discover something new about our hometowns and enjoy a little stay cation.  One of the weekends this summer, when Emma was away at camp and Greg was working, Michael and I went to check out a great place, The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring, and "aerial forest adventure" that is about an hours drive from our house.  Imagine rope bridges and other challenges, all suspended from trees at least 20 feet high, strung together with zip lines.  We had a blast, as you can see by Michael's face...

The green, green trees, the ropes and cables, and the cool harness helped me imagine this necklace (during innumerable long and boring meetings this week).  I stumbled upon the gear looking beads and thought they made a great addition.  They're from Happy Mango Beads - and by stumble I mean they were found as I was trying to clear enough space to actually use my desk.  The chain I had was a little short - so I added a bit of leather at the back.

A huge thank you to Erin at Treasures Found!

  15. Hello Miss Elisabeth! What a great place to discover! I would love to run around in the trees and see what it feels like to be a squirrel! Your son looks like he is having a wonderful time. Your necklace feels like those suspension bridges and all the wonderful greens. Sorry that it took me so long to get around to all the hometowns.
