Funny how sometimes things fall into place right when you need them to.  I didn't really have anything to fit this weeks prompt.  I was going to take a picture of my laptop keys, since my fingers appear to be glued to them often.

Yaaaaawn.

But because it's rained for like 48 hours straight and I needed to get outside, Michael and I put on waterproof shoes and rain jackets, leashed up Layla and headed outside.  When it's been raining this much there is a culvert nearby our house that fills up and is fun to play in.  Sure enough once we got down there I found type galore, albeit, ahem, not strictly legal :-)

I found more crazy fonts when I got home and picked up the mail - I am amazed that it made it to me!

It's a lovely set of beads from Jennifer Davies-Reazor - she made the June Component of the Month over on Art Jewelry Elements - and I won!

  1. The Graffiti you chose is so integral to the shape of the culvert, and the message is certainly secondary!

  7. SOmetimes the post office trys amazingly hard to deliver things.. other times they see a mistake and return it to the sender... Some graffiti I like some just messes up buildings... inside a culvert is probably a good place for it!

  8. Wow, your photo of graffiti is beautiful - I love the colours! I also love the soggy mail that amazingly got to you - I try hard to get that effect in my art sometimes - perhaps I should send it through the mail during the 'wet season'!

  12. Cautionary tale for tape over the address! Probably just hit a puddle just before your door :) Graffiti was an awesome choice a bit of edge. I never took a picture of some of my own I left behind... in some concrete teehee!

  19. I love the colorful graffiti in the culvert. What a great place to play. And your mail...I can't believe you actually got it. Our mail carriers can't even get things to the right address when it is legible let alone wet and smeared!
