As I type this, six 7th grade girls are giggling and talking at high decibel as they eat pizza. It's my sweet baby girl's 13th birthday party. She and I had a great afternoon together getting ready, and I so much enjoyed blowing up balloons and frosting her cake together. Now I am content to leave them to caterwaul about who likes who and which teachers are "cool" (but I remain within listening distance - Moms must use the power of eavesdropping to make sure all is right in the world :-)). As I listen I can't help but feel I am so blessed.
