I have not one but two shipments of wire, not even opened, that I hope to tear into this weekend.  I want to make glass head pins - that's my new challenge - but haven't gotten to it yet.  As I thought more about being creative,  I realized that playing with glass and beads is a small portion of how I use creativity.  When you have two working parents and busy kids and a pup, and a house to keep running, etc, etc, being creative is really the only way I can make it through any week.  A week like this one (Monday is blank because I didn't get around to updating this week until Monday night):

(the idea for the family calendar came from here)

A week that included the 13th birthday of my favorite girl (who needed a surprise with her breakfast)

A week that include family visits the weekend before and after (so some during-a-meeting meal planning was required)

And then I flipped through a few more pages and saw that I am a serial meeting doodler (some days it keeps me sane :-))...

(Cobra as in health benefits, not as in snake :-))

  16. I would need to take one (more likely two) art classes to be able to "doodle" that well! That first doodle looks like a pattern for a beautiful seed beaded pendant! Lovely!

  19. Your doodles are so intricate. IF I even took the time, they would look like a 4 year old's first attempt at drawing. Love your family calendar, but BOY, you are a busy lady!!!! Enjoy the sleep in.

  21. HA! All my notebooks from college and my pads from work (back when I wasn't a housewife) were covered with doodles in the margins too! Keep in mind that mine were nowhere near as skilled as yours.
I heard or read somewhere that it's been found that people who doodle during meeting and classes actually absorb more than those who don't because it doesn't allow their mind to wander as much as people who aren't keeping their hands busy. . .or something along those lines.
Oh, and your weekly calendar is pretty dang cool.
