Here is what I pulled out of the kiln this morning!

Here are attempts at stripes. I bought some "Iris Orange Raku" glass from a seller on Etsy - that's what makes the smear-y purple-y orange colors on the left.

Here is the Iris Orange Raku over cream - digging this look.  Ignore the wonkiness of the two smaller beads.  Trying for two beads on one mandrel is tougher than I thought - practice, practice, practice!

These two beads....are a hot mess.  But I was trying for the bubble and I got it once per bead :-)

This is a pinky red frit over orange with clear over top.  Amazing how it became brownish.  These are the beads that I plan to give to YOU.  Yes YOU, a randomly selected commenter.  I'll make the drawing on Monday, November 19th.

p.s. - thanks for your comments yesterday - to elaborate (you asked...) - I have a dual fuel torch for lamp working - it uses propane and oxygen.  Propane is easy - I use the same tank you put on your BBQ.  Oxygen tanks are a pain, and because I am new and not very efficient I go through them fast - the oxygen concentrator makes oxygen for me - easy peasy :- )

  11. You are so much braver than I am to be playing with that torch. I have a whole kit and have simply let my husband try his hand at it. Maybe one day I'll gather up my gumption and give it a go. . .Your beads are really yummy.
