Happy Mango Beads is having another Trash to Treasure contest - so much fun! They have many great categories, and I decided to enter under "Scrap Metal." I had a moment to myself at the hardware store a couple months ago and decided to take a look around with an eye towards materials. I found a box of neoprene washers that are black rubber on one side and metal on the other. With this contest in mind, I decided to make funky links with red Parawire, and added a two fish red focal I had picked up in the Michael's bargain bin for $1.99. Total cost of materials for this project? Less than $5!
Check out all the entries on the Happy Mango Beads Facebook page.
Wow!!! That looks great! I have to say, all of your wirework is inspiring me to try some new things... maybe soon! I hope your necklace does well.

ReplyDeleteWhat fun this design is! I love to use materials that are not traditional jewelry. This is such a happy necklace and I can't believe it cost you less than $5 (you should submit this to Stringing for their On a Shoestring feature!)
