Sally asked us this week to reflect, to slow down and reflect on the peace, joy, love and happiness in our lives.

Slowing down...that is so hard for me.

I am trying always to get. things. done.

I know that the hurriedness of life means I sometimes miss those little bits of peace, joy, love and happiness that I am blessed to have in my life.  And then my husband brings me a treat he knows I'll love from Costco (super fresh tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella - and he hates cheese), and Michael shoots me a secret wink right before his choir sings, and then Emma gives me a super tight, unsolicited hug, and then Layla dog this morning doesn't stomp all over as soon as my alarm goes off.  It's all there, I just need to sllllooooowwww ddddoooowwwwnnn.

These were taken with my phone, I stopped to enjoy the view as I helped Michael and his fellow Scouts with Scouting for Food :-)

See other great reflections here:

  1. Great photos with your phone and lovely sentiments with your words.

  2. Those pictures are lovely! Gorgeous colours and perfect reflections!

  3. Your photos are so beautiful. I could definitely get lost in those reflections. Oh, and the first thing I noticed when I clicked on over here to your blog was your header photo - beautiful reflection there for sure!

  4. Beautiful photos! Such wonderful reflections, both in thought and picture.

  5. Doesn't it make you wonder what we all are rushing to? Thanks for sharing your precious moments.

  6. Oh my gosh those photos are fantastic!
