I was out walking my faithful if kibble obsessed companion this evening, and it dawned on my that I should put some thought into this week's post.  A quick check of my e-mail to remind myself of this week's prompt and I knew I was set - I had a great picture from the fall that would fit perfectly. e.z.p.z.  But then Layla stopped to sniff right under a cherry tree that was snowing blossoms.  Fresh blooms to aged, in just a couple weeks and thanks to a storm this morning.

Poor girl is wounded - the Lab equivalent of an ingrown toenail gone bad.

And here is the picture I first thought of.

  1. Great picture of the blooms. And chairs aging in the garden are one of my favorite subjects.

  8. Those chairs look so lonely... I wish I had cherry blossoms littering my yard.. I don't even have my croci anymore since the deer ate them! I had little irises yesterday... wonder if they survived the snow, rain and deer last night?

  12. Wonderful Elisabeth, showing how fast the petals become aged in their short life span. The old chairs on the fence line sit quite and forgotten, beautiful shot!
