The Lovely Lori is hosting I Heart Macro on Sundays.  I have about 45 minutes left to still make it on Sunday, and have some pictures taken last weekend near my brother's house that I am dying to share.  He and his neighbors have some BEAUTIFUL dogwood trees.  Along with the dazzling colors of azaleas, it is the surest sign that Spring is here to stay in Virginia and the carefree days of summer are not far behind.  Head on over to Lori's blog to see other great pix!

  2. Elisabeth, your Dogwood pictures are incredible. WOW! I love Dogwoods - they are some of my favorite. I'm glad you captured them as I see they are starting to fall off the trees now with all the rain we had here in VA.

  3. Elisabeth, I'm so homesick for Virginia right now! Kent & I got married in the back yard of some friends' house in Arlington. It was mid-May but the angels were with us and all the dogwoods and azaleas and rhododendrons were still in bloom (very late for them). They have a huge hill behind their house that's all full of those flowering plants and trees. It was a beautiful May day that I will never forget but your pictures just brought the memory back full force! Thank you.
