So, I realized on my long drive home (more on that in a mo) that I TOTALLY FORGOT about my giveaway to be drawn on Friday.  I am very sorry and will post tomorrow evening.  So, if you would still like to enter, go here.

Now, here is my list of excuses...
1.  For some reason, starting last Thursday, Blogger and Safari aren't getting along, but only on my computer.  Grrrrr.
2.  The government flirted with a shut down so I had to notify folks that they were potentially going to be furloughed on Monday (oh joy) while working the details of our office move, 2 blocks down the street.  Remember how your Mom said, "If you can't say anything nice.."  I am practicing that now.
3.  Friday, Greg was returning from an overseas trip and Emma had an evening soccer practice. The four of us all met up at the school annual Spring Fling/Silent Auction, which looked to be a wild success.  Michael effectively scared away all contenders with super cuteness and took home a Lego set.  A couple BFBG pieces went home with new owners while adding to the night's coffers - win-win!
4.  Saturday, a 7 AM swim meet show time, immediately followed by a restorative trip to Dennys.  When we got home, I packed my bags and my beady BFF Jen arrived for us to head north to King of Prussia for Bead Fest Wire.  We had a great chat on the way up, shopped like crazy for 2 hours, got to chat with Lori and Barbara and then ate so-not-good-for-us-but-delish food, had a couple adult beverages, and solved ALL of the world's problems.

5.  We woke up in our tomb of a room Sunday morning and sleepily got our act together to attend Barbara's Painting with Fire class.  An all day fest of torch fire enameling.  So. Much. Fun.  And you know we both left with kits.  My birthday lamp work torch arrives tomorrow hopefully :-) and I now understand why so many lamp workers on Etsy also sell enameled components (duh!).

6.  The drive home seemed to take FOREVER.  Detours, traffic, etc.  I am glad to be home, and can't wait to share my treasures, but we have EARLY doctors appointments for the kids tomorrow, so I best wrap up, download the appropriate camp-required physical forms, and head to bed.  Tomorrow, I promise, I will announce the giveaway winner.

p.s. - I can't buy any more beads, ever.  Okay maybe that's extreme.  But I am on a bead diet for sure until we go see my Mom in Tucson in August.  Because you Can't. Go. To. Tucson. And. NOT. Buy. Beads!
