A couple weeks ago I made a batch of granola from a recipe I have had forever. It is SO ADDICTIVE. Tonight I made our third batch.
Let me share the recipe so you can share in our addiction:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
In a large bowl put:
4 cups old fashioned rolled oats
2 cups bran buds
1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
1 to 2 cups of your favorite dried fruit, chopped so pieces are bite sized
In a microwave safe measuring cup, combine:
3/4 cup honey
3/4 cup canola oil
2 tsp vanilla
Heat in microwave for 1 minute, stir until mixed, then pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Cover two cookie sheets with parchment paper, and divide mixture between the two sheets, spreading evenly. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until mixture is a medium brown. Let cool, and then break into pieces to store in an air tight container. If you leave the container on the kitchen counter, it won't last long :-)
