The lovely Erin at Treasures Found is sponsoring a quick fire challenge: Use her Toast of the Town design in a different colorway and share what we came up with. I was one of the lucky three to win beads to use in the challenge. Here is what I won:

I love those colors! Wearing jeans and a black turtleneck was one of my most FAVORITIST outfits. Still is. I really only needed to add a couple beads here and there to finish off the necklace: long blue glass beads, peacock blue freshwater pearls, black glass beads and silver seed beads.
Isn't that clasp beautiful? Love it!
I am not very wordy as it is 11:30 PM and I had to restring one portion of the necklace three times...twice because I needed to add some more beads to make it as long as I needed it and the last time because as I was trying to line up the two long strands, one of the bead stoppers let go and an entire, 42 inch strand, crashed to the floor. My sweet, sweet 10-year old son paused the TV, jumped out of his chair, and dove under the desk to rescue a majority of the beads.
He is pure awesome sauce :-)
Thank you Erin for the wonderful beads and for hosting yet another fabulous challenge!

ReplyDeleteKudos to your son, chivalry isn't dead!
Give your sweet son a high five from me! He saved the day! I have had that happen more times than I can count. Almost happened to me last night too. I love your variation. I am so glad that you are playing along. Enjoy the day! Erin
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Nice to have a little elf help, huh? ;)
ReplyDeleteThe black, silver and blue are amazing together. The beads you added work so well with the ones in the first picture. I love your toggle as well. It was so nice of your son to help rescue the beads .. stringing this necklace does take some time. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the black and silver with the blue. Dresses it up a lot so you can switch from jeans to that "little black dress" with no problem.
ReplyDeleteLove the royal blue that you used it makes your necklace look very classy and regal!
ReplyDeleteI love the geometric look of your necklace!! You did an awesome job!
ReplyDeleteThose colours are so versatile: they'll go nicely with jeans, but they'll also dress up an afternoon dress or even the famous LBD! wonderful job!
