I have a vague memory that my Mom didn't allow/believe in coloring books, even though as a kid I DESPERATELY wanted a cool Barbie coloring book. She was probably right about the creativity part, but oh how I envied my friends' coloring books. But the Crafter's Devotional that I am all about right now encourages coloring. I am loving it! Of course drawing your own picture seems so much more creative - but what pressure! Greg saw me coloring the other night and said, "oh, you're in your happy place."  Yes.

(Find cool doodles here - I colored them and cut them out to fancy up my journal)

  2. I love to color! Our kids did too when they were young. We let them color outside the lines, doodle, whatever they wanted. Having lines doesn't always restrict, sometimes it enables creativity too--just like your doodles book which looks like a whole lotta fun!

  3. Ooh I love to color too! As Courtney said, nothing better than a brand new box of crayons, the first thing I did was arrange by color groups and then admire all their beuaty! I remember getting down on the floor to color with my kids and before you know it , they would be long gone and I was still finishing up! I will have to go to those coloring pages you have links to, thanks!

  5. Your owl picture turned out so cute. It was definitely my favorite of the ones you linked to in the e-mail! In fact, I not only printed one out for me but also two more for my nieces. However, I ended up just using a coloring book I found full of fairies. I'm saving the owl one for later. THanks again!!
