This month's Art Bead Scene challenge is this lovely piece called Morning in the Garden at Vaucresson, by Edouard Vuillard. It just speaks dreamy summer doesn't it? No rush, no work, totally non-tech...sigh. It's been a while since I've participated in the ABS challenge because I wanted to be able to use something I made. This week it finally all came together! What's funny is the the light in the gazebo where my torch is set up wasn't working, so I used a flashlight to pick colors that I thought would work and then went to town in the mostly dark. I started out thinking bracelet but decided to make a necklace - I was afraid it would be too clunky on the wrist. I added some beads made using the world famous Barbara Lewis painting with fire enameling technique that she has graciously taught me and wired it all together with Parawire antique copper wire. Except for the wire and small clear glass beads, all beads were made by me :-) Now for an outfit to go with...

Wow have you ever learned the lampworking quickly. These are gorgeous beads and look like they'd be really hard to make. I love the handmade clasp, too. Beautiful work, Elisabeth!
