I started a running program ("running" would be a very grand term for the shuffle I do) after Easter. When I saw the Easter pictures I knew I had to get moving - ugh. That and the pesky Air Force obsession with timing my run once or twice a year has kept me at it, and even though I a: hate exercising and b: hate getting up early in the morning, I have come to enjoy being outside when the neighborhood is quiet. I found this gorgeous blossom on my most recent outing. If only I could include in this post the sweet, sweet smell. Make sure you go and visit Studio Waterstone to see other macro goodness.

Beautiful flower and great shot! I've decided to start running a couple of times, but when the alarm went off, I decided it was too early and went back to sleep. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a Gardenia? Lovely shot - I need to get up and run myself - but I might just keep going! lol
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! I hate running too!
ReplyDeleteMaybe a Magnolia (looks like it from the inner future seed pod)? I had a magnolia last year (insects killed it sadly) and the blooms were just breath-taking with sweetness you could smell from far away. My m.i.l. got me a gardenia last year for my b-day and that smells wonderful and had ruffles of flowers that bloom… Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeing outside is soul food as much as running is healthy for you... beautiful photo... so soft and pretty I can almost smell it!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very interesting stamen. Too bad we don't have "scratch and sniff". Enjoy your peaceful time!
ReplyDeleteOh that is lovely! The contrasts of the color are stunning :) Good shot! And good on you for sticking with an exercise program! It's such hard work, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteReally great photo! If I can get from the horizontal to the vertical, I am good. That seems to be the struggle these days. :)
