I am on a short business trip but I got a quick picture of my latest attempts at lamp working before I left. I am working on dots - control of size and location and layering. After a couple color combos, I thought I would make a disk, then when it went a bit wonky tried a hallow bead, and when that went wonky ended up with the turquoise one at the top of the picture which has a big bubble in the clear middle section. Emma, my ever loyal and all time favorite daughter, declared it "cool". My business trip is an "all hands" meeting of folks that do my same job in the Air Force - great fun to see many old friends - but I can't wait to get home to those I love the most :-) Have a great week everyone!

very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe of anyone who can get glass to form itself into a ball and then create a hole in it! I think they look great!
ReplyDeletethis is so fun, thank you for sharing your journey with us. I think your beads are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip....
Yummy beads! And yep, I'm with Marcie - so in awe of those who play with glass and fire ;)
ReplyDeleteI love it that there is another lampworker that doesn't let a little mistake keep her from trying to turn it into something else. I just hate to waste glass but usually end up wasting more. lol
