I've had a wonderful couple of days...Mom and Don have been here to share Easter and Emma's First Communion.  The weather has been pretty great, with a rainy day on the day we planned to go to a show at Ford's Theater.  In between I've been able to sneak out to my new favorite place...it might look like a garage, but actually it's a lampworking studio :-)

No kiln yet - using insulating blankets for now.  So far none have broken...

I even tried making a hallow one - the tealish one in the middle of the back.  My attempts at making disks ended up curved in so I decided to go with it.  I am completely lame at dots...with more practice I suppose I'll get it figured out.  Hope everyone has a good Monday :-)

  1. It looks like you have a great start! Lampworking is one of those things I think I could get very addicted to! I need to find a class!

  3. I think that white one w/ the blue dots shows that you are definitely NOT lame at dots! It's really good! I love all the colors and the variety of beads. You're doing great at this and I can hardly believe you're a novice!
