Yep - you can catch me skulking about and turning on the torch when ever possible.  My latest plan is to move it all into the screened gazebo in the back yard.  Torching with the garage door open Monday night as I waited up for Greg to get home led to quite a few winged visitors and a couple itchy bug bites.

Here are my latest attempts.  The orange and purple beads are experiments in some opaque glass surrounded with similarly hued transparent.  With the yellow one in the middle I was trying to make layered dots, that were such huge knobs that I melted them all in, then added a small blue stripe to keep it interesting.  The yellow bead with black splotches was supposed to be a black band all the way around, but distracted by bugs, the glass cooled and then some of the black snapped off when I put it back into the flame.  Flying hot glass convinced me it was time to shut down and try some more later - I can't wait!  Be sure to check out all of the BTW pix here.

  5. They are well shaped. When I tried making glass beads, they all turned out wonky, despite my best efforts. Good job!
