Clutter drives me nuts, but containerizing it sooths my soul. You can probably guess one of my favorite stores:
Since I have finally scored my first NAS (non-acquaintance sale) and I have seen some really cool packaging, I thought I would turn to another great company, Specialty Bottle, to help me out. Don't get thrown by the name - they sell tins as well. I first found them when I was looking for round tins with clear tops to organize my beads. Instead of buying tins with magnetic bottoms for $4.99 for 3 from IKEA, I was able to get unmagnetized tins from Specialty Bottle for just under $1 a piece (they do volume pricing), found magnetic tape on eBay, and I was in business.
I had an old CD shaped tin on my desk that I used for my first NAS, and decided it would be a cool way to package my jewelry plus provide protection so that I wouldn't need tons of additional packing materials. Specialty Bottle also had small hinged tins (think Altoids or Sucrets) that will be great for earrings and less bulky items. I found ribbon in my logo colors at Michael's, tuck a card underneath, and I am in business, or at least hope to have more, as I have ordered an entire box of tins :-)
Ooh, the Container Store! One of my favorites! My sister and I can spend HOURS in there! Thanks for the link to the Specialty Bottle store too - the tins are a great idea for packaging!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, I use cotton fill boxes. Thanks for the link to the tin store.
ReplyDeleteI love the tins. I sometimes think the packaging is the hard part. Love the Container Store too!!
ReplyDeleteI love the tins! It's like 2 gifts! So many things you can do with them and they already know they are getting an awesome piece of jewelry!

ReplyDeleteThanks for popping over and saying hi. Can't wait to meet you at ArtBliss!
I really love your new packaging, Elisabeth! Very unique...and you could add a custom/personalized logo sticker one day too if you like.
